I really love photographing this family! We always have such a fun time, and the kiddos are oh-so-adorable!!! Below are a few favorites from a recent session.....

Welcome, Baby Taylor!!

This was one extra special birth for me to photograph! Jill and I have been the best of friends ever since junior high school. I had the incredible pleasure of photographing the birth of her son Travis a year and a half ago, and now I have had the honor of photographing her daughter Taylor's birth. So amazing!!! Jill was induced yesterday and gave birth to Taylor just before 5:00 PM. Taylor weighed in at a whopping 10lbs. 6oz!!!! We were all shocked! And Jill, well, she is now my hero!! She was absolutely amazing through the delivery, and when I spoke with her this morning on the phone she sounded great! The birth was not absolutely perfect though. Taylor's shoulder was stuck on the way out, and her clavicle is fractured. It is expected to heal in a couple of weeks. Jill and Ryan got to spend a few moments with Taylor after she was born, but then she had to go to the NICU for a few hours to be monitored. She is doing wonderful now and has been with Jill and Ryan since late last night.

Congratulations, Jill and Ryan! And Travis too!!! He is a big brother now!! Wow!!! Jill, it was such an honor to be there with you for a second time to witness you and Ryan welcoming another miracle into the world. I am so incredibly happy for your family, and I wish you the very best!! I really hope you enjoy the photos.....

Welcome, Baby Clem!

I have been missing from my blog lately. The wedding business is very busy this time of year! I have a lot to catch up on. First up is a wonderful birth I photographed last week. April and Spencer chose to have a home birth and hired Mary and Kim from Birth Works in Little Rock to deliver the baby. This was my third home birth to photograph, and also the third time to work alongside Mary and Kim. They are an amazing team!! I am always so honored when I am asked to be a part of such a special day and the most intimate moments a family experiences. Below is a slideshow I put together to tell the story of the day. I accidentally loaded it with my other logo. Whoops! ;)

WALL FAMILY

I had an absolute blast photographing the Wall family over the weekend! Emily (12), Spencer (3), and Macy (2) are full of fun and energy. And Spencer and Macy liked keeping me on my toes! But I like that! :) Here are just a few favorites from our session:







Dad had said he didn't plan on being in any pictures, but I just couldn't help but capture this moment when the kids were changing clothes! So sweet and natural!




I don't know if Spencer knew what to think being up in this tree! So cute!!!

Bourland Family

I had the pleasure of photographing the Bourland family a few days ago. This family is amazing, and they have been through so much over the past year. Sweet little Payton was impatient like my Brayson (even more impatient than he was!) and was born several months early last year. After many trying months in the NICU she was finally able to go home in November. And she is doing so well now!!! I mean, look at this sweetie pie! She is happy and healthy and wonderful! Another NICU success story! And she has one very proud big sister! :)

BABY BOSTON

This sweet boy is just a month old! I spent last week in Northwest Arkansas helping my friends Brian and Courtney out with this cutie pie! I had forgotten how great it was to hold a "squishy" baby! :) I set up an impromptu photo shoot while I was there, and this little man was so easy to work with - even though he wouldn't sleep for me too much. But I did manage to get a couple of shots before he woke up. And when he did wake up he just stared at me - mesmerized by my big camera! I just love his eyes! Here are a couple of favorites!
